China Property Outlook is an independent, content-rich and highly interactive seminar about the current market conditions and outlook for the Chinese real estate markets.

Introduction

forecast with nov

This January will be the perfect time to objectively review the full year 2014 and discuss the Outlook for China property markets in 2015.

After the big worries of early 2012, and stimulated boom of 2013, in residential markets we have been in the downcycle since the beginning of 2014.

The forecast we presented at the last China Property Outlook in February 2014 has so far proven very accurate (see chart) - now what will 2015 bring to the residential sector in China?

What deals have we seen in 2014 and how do Chinese deal metrics compare with other markets? How is the listed property sector performing and what does it tell us about broader market how does it compare with the other Asian and Western markets? Does it look cheap or expensive? What political and regulatory reality will investors face in 2015 and what do 2014 reforms and announcements really mean?

Following the highly regarded seminars in 2013 and 2014, for this 3rd annual seminar we have teamed up with SNL Financial as Lead Partner, Real Capital Analytics and Tripod Advisors, to jointly address these key questions.

The Program

Robert CiemniakRobert Ciemniak, Founder of Real Estate Foresight, will review the market dynamics in 2014 and present the annual forecast for the China residential sector for 2015 and discuss the latest insights and market conditions based on both quantitative and on-the-ground research in China.

Soufun Mr. Lin's Pic

Lin Jianhui, Head of China Index Academy South Branch, SouFun, will discuss how different cities change their policies towards property and land markets and what we should expect in that regard in 2015, drawing on SouFun-China Index Academy experience in China.

Steve Williams

Steve Williams, Executive Managing Director, Real Capital Analytics, will draw on RCA’s deals data and analytics to paint the landscape of deals in China in 2014 and compare the deal flow, yields/cap rates in China with those in other key Asian and Western cities.

Keven Lindemann, Director, SNL Real Estate, will review the key performance metrics of Chinese listed developers, and discuss how Chinese listed property firms compare to those in other Asian markets, drawing on extensive data and analytics from SNL Financial.

David Schlesinger, Founder of Tripod Advisors, former Chairman of Thomson Reuters China and Global Editor-in-Chief of Reuters, will discuss the latest political and regulatory context in which investors operate in China.

Finally, following a successful formula from the past 2 years, we will run a highly interactive workshop designed to generate actionable insights for the year ahead.

Exclusively for this event, participants will receive copies of the latest China Forecast and select CityScreener™ charts from Real Estate Foresight, and materials from our content partners.
